Tedd & Carole Blevins

Carole & Tedd share a studio at Cold Spring in Holston Valley, Bristol TN. Tedd, Professor of art at Virginia Intermont College, paints forest floors, figures and cityscapes. Carole is a full time artist and teaches watercolor painting. Her paintings depict Appalachian and European landscapes and cityscapes.

Wendy Gavin Gregg

Wendy is Professor of Photography at Lynchburg College and resides on a farm in Floyd, VA. Her show, consisting of pinhole camera photography, is titled "Watermarks." These marks are "lines of motion created by nature and only revealed in the darkroom." The work is "about taking what is given, without knowing the results…. small risks with film, and nature rewards me with beauty."


John Gunther
April 23 - June 10

Reception Sunday, April 30, 2 - 4 pm
Abingdon fiber artist, John Gunther will display a retrospective of his 33 years of work. Self-taught, John has created work for major craft shows and galleries throughout the country. Working mainly in wool, He hand dyes and hand weaves contemporary wall and floor pieces with emphasis on striking color, graphic design and landscape impact.


David Eakin
June 11 - July 21

Reception Sunday, June 11, 2 - 4 pm
A Lynchburg, VA artist, David will present works in oil and watermedia. Although primarily a landscape artist, he experiments with other subjects and media. David is a signature member of the Virginia Watercolor Society and the 2005 winner of the of the Society's Depot Artists Association Award.

Nancy Stark

August 17 - September 30

Reception Sunday, August 27, 2 - 4 pm
Roanoke, VA artists, Nancy Stark paints in watermedia on a variety of surfaces. Her subject matter includes florals, chairs and trains. Nancy captures and portrays strong sunlight and cast shadow patterns in all her paintings. She will often "zoom in" for a close-up of these patterns and invites the viewer to "fill in the blanks" for what is omitted.

Ernestine & Julie Blanton
October 1 - November 11

Reception Sunday, October 1, 2 - 4 pm
Bristol, TN. artists, Ernestine M. Blanton and her daughter, Julie B. Blanton present their work in watercolor paintings and pencil drawings. Julie, principally a realist, experiments with impressionism as well. Ernestine's award winning work has been described as "An orchestration of color & harmony" as each is created by a subtle layering of transparent watercolor.
