We heartily invite you to join us as we work to support the arts in our region and serve our community. Depot Members receive our newsletter as well as notification of special events, workshops and regularly scheduled exhibits.

Gallery Greeter- Welcome people to The Arts Depot, tell a brief history of the building, about the organization, and abou the current exhibits and activities. Make sales.

 

Host Reception- Arrange food on table and serve punch.

 

Refreshments- Bring food/ drink for receptions.

 

Table Decorations- For receptions etc.

 

Photographer- Take photographs for use in press release and/ or scrapbook.

 

Bulk Mailings- Fold letters, stuff envelopes, attach labels, etc.

 

Building Maintenance- Do minor repairs, painting, windows,etc.

 

Gardening Maintenance- Obtain plants for window boxes plant, water, prune periodically etc.

 

Distribute Poster/ Brochures- Go to area businesses, ask permission to post information. Return after event to remove poster.

 

Studio Sitter- Be present in an artists studio during open hours when the artist is unable to be there. Discuss and sell the artists work. Also, you can demonstrate and sell your work while acting as a sitter.

 

Holiday Open House- Help to organize, decorate, bring food, greenery, obtain door prizes, entertainment, design invitations, posters and lots more! (You may volunteers for one or more of these activities)

 

Judge Community & Children's Art Contests -Judge contests at The Arts Depot or other venues on request.

 

Budget Committee- Meet to determine proposed budget annually plus infrequent review meetings. Committee is appointed by President.

 

Gallery Committee- Jury artists for the Spotlight Gallery. Determine policies. Committee is appointed by President.

 

Hang Gallery Shows- Hang artwork prior to shows.

 

Web page/Computer Work- Assist webmaster in modifying/adding item to the web site. Provide technical expertise on computer techniques, perform specialty work.

 

Party Line Caller- Call members/ general community when needed.

 

Picture Album- Update photos/ articles etc. in yearly scrapbook throughout the year.

 

Newsletter- Assist in layout, writing articles, obtaining information form people, etc.

 

Fundraising- Help to organize, make personal calls, visits, etc.
