Virginia earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University and her Masters in Art Education from the University of Pittsburgh. Appearing at shows in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania, she has won a Master Artisan Award at Indian Summer in Marietta, Ohio and two blue ribbons at the Westerville, Ohio Chamber of Commerce show. She was a featured artist in the June, 1990 issue of Decorative Artist Workbook. She has been surrounded by art and art education all her life - her mother was an artist and art teacher – so a career in art was inevitable.
