Lewis Chapman was born and raised in the Ohio valley region of West Virginia. He attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he attained an Associate Bachelors Degree in Visual Communication. Later he worked in the Graphic Design field for 25 years for newspapers, magazines and trade show companies. Lewis paints in a traditional, realistic style using watercolors, acrylics and oils to represent themes of rural, everyday life. Lewis also enjoys painting pet portraits and has painted pets ranging from dogs to donkeys with a couple of cats in-between. Lewis now lives in Laurel Bloomery Tn. with his wife Jeana T. Chapman and you can find their works at The Johnson County Center for the Arts, the Damascus Farmers Market and at a variety of festivals throughout the region.
