Jeff Sutton

Showing in Member's Gallery August 8 - September 22, 2018

As a young boy growing up on the farm, Jeff always enjoyed drawing. Perhaps that is why he left the farm and pursued a career in the design field. In 1967 he was employed by Tennessee Eastman, now Eastman Chemical Company, as a draftsman/designer. He retired in 1998. In the 70's Jeff took a watercolor class from Raymond Williams, a popular area watercolor artist, from whom he learned valuable techniques. Through the years Jeff has learned more techniqued by trial and error and continues to learn as time goes by. He loves watercolors because of the wonderful effects that can be achieved. "I suppose that my exposure to the outdoors on the farm created an interest in painting god's creation!" That is why, for the most part I paint landscapes, seascapes, old buildings, landmarks, etc. "
